As usual we will be in the air-conditioned (!) Teralba Hall from 2.00pm to 5.00 pm.
Door donation $3.00. All welcome for an afternoon of music, song, spoken word, fun and friendship.
Just a reminder that our big, annual “Ensembles Folk Circle” is on this Sunday, 27th October. As always, we’ll be at Teralba Hall from 3.00 to 6.00 pm. Door contribution still only $3.00!
This concert will feature invited duos, trios, quartets and larger groups, each given longer slots than we usually have at Folk Circle. Lorraine has arranged a great program – see below.
We always have a big audience for this one. You might like to bring your own mug for afternoon tea. Some people like to bring a plate to share, and that is always appreciated. Hope to see you there.

Dan Berry and Friends: Tribute to Leo Klein Kevin and Ellen Sweeney A favourite father and daughter duo, singing songs of justice, peace and harmony Two Voices in the Crowd Kathy’s enchanting voice complements Matthew’s thoughtful guitar-work and vocals as they present songs of love, hope and caring for the environment… The Clarynuts Never before seen or heard at Folk Circle! This ensemble of clarinet players from the Lake Macquarie U3A Orchestra will delight you with their versatility and style… Threepence Gail, Penny, Ann and Lynden beautifully sing a capella which will fill your heart with harmony… Intermission Feel free to join us for Afternoon Tea in the Supper Room for a chance to catch up with old (or new) friends. A plate to share will always be welcome. You may wish to bring your own mug. Clyde Street Trio John, Rosalie and Gail represent the Clyde Street Band, bringing their usual flair and musicality to a range of musical genres on a range of musical instruments… Carole Garland and Andrew Lang Carole has long been a favourite on the local folk scene. She and Andrew have now formed an engaging duo, bringing us Traditional Folk in traditional style… Tripple Effect Contemporary acoustic folk trio, Len, Lynden and Carrie, present creatively-crafted songs about current social and environmental issues. |
