UPDATE!  We ARE allowed to have fires at SessionFest this year!  Only in fire drums or braziers and only on the camp ground – no fires are to be lit on the ground!  Happy days!  ALSO, we do NOT have access to the Showground, buildings or breezeway on the Friday and Saturday – we will however be using the function room, kitchen and breezeway from Sunday morning onwards.  A private function has been booked for the Friday/Saturday so we trust everyone will respect their privacy and keep only to the camp ground and amenities block.  Thank you!

With easy access from the M1, the site is a huge area with flat sites for caravans, motor homes & tents with limited powered sites, oodles of unpowered sites, water, hot showers, large undercover area (for inclement weather), plenty of parking, camp kitchen, gas heaters and/or campfires (BYO chair); and it’s kid and pet friendly (dogs must be kept on a leash at all times!).   [Note – NO Glass allowed on the sports fields]

SessionFest is where you create the event, the atmosphere & the music.  Come and sing, play, recite, yarn, swap, learn, teach and encourage.

Some structured programming is provided including our usual –

  • Saturday & Sunday night themed Concerts;
  • Blackboard performance opportunities;
  • Poetry and Yarns sessions;
  • Evening sessions around the fire drums / braziers/ gas heaters;
  • Music, Singing and Tune Workshops (not yet confirmed).
  • Also, soup kitchen & mulled wine Saturday & Sunday evenings; tea/coffee available all weekend!

And for the rest of the time, session with old friends and/or make some new ones.

Of course, Session Etiquette applies.

Powered sites Couple $33, Single $27/night/site, Unpowered sites Couple $28, Single $23/night/site.

WEEKEND PASS (to cover venue hire & expenses) is $15 per person

OR  DAY PASS is $5 per person, payable on entry or via TryBooking (link and QR code below).  Children 16 and under accompanied by an adult FREE.

Here is SessionFest 2024 Draft Program, changed from last year due to venue availability and dwindling number of volunteers.  The ‘Tarp Mahal’ has been added thanks to John Sutton as a substitute venue for the Concert Room on Friday night and Saturday.
All SessonFest activities on Friday & Saturday will take place on the campgrounds. The showground venues, Concert room, Kitchen and Breezeway are only available for Sunday & Monday activities.
Volunteers are needed, please report to Bilbo, to install the Tarp Mahal & Session Tent on the Campground on Friday afternoon from 2:00 PM so that they can be completed before dark at about 5:30 PM.  Volunteers are needed to set up the Concert room & Breezeway on Sunday morning from 8:00 AM to ready for activities commencing at 11:00AM.  Please register for volunteering by calling or texting Matthew Clarke 0427499336
